Teow Chew Meng

Restoran Teow Chew Meng is famous for its mee suah tow. When we first stepped in to this restaurant at SS2, we were surprised to see only 2 tables being occupied. Usually this place would be packed with people.

Mee Sua Tow is a pot of mee sua with your choice of either seafood, chicken or fish in thick broth. We ordered seafood and this pot is filled with fish slices, crabstick, squids and prawns. From the last time I tasted this dish which was last year, I think the quality of this mee sua tow has degraded.

Mee Sua Tow - RM11 per pax

Next is a salad dish which compromise slices of green apple, dried shrimps and beancurd - served with sweet and sour sauce. My fave dish for the evening.

Apple Beancurd - RM10

After that comes Fried Oyster Mee. A bowl of this mee comes with loads of oyster served in thick oyster sauce. Reminds me somewhat of Shilin Street Snack's mee sua oyster noodle just that this dish tastes slightly better.

Fried Oyster Mee - RM15

As for tom yam noodle, you could also select either seafood, chicken or fish. We picked meehun with seafood. The tom yam soup taste just nice - not too sour and not too spicy. A recommended dish.

This plate of fried rice taste good as well. It taste like the normal fried rice that you can get from those 'dai chow' stalls.

Fried Rice - RM10
