Michelangelo's @ Soho KL

This restaurant ambience is suitable for people who want to enjoy food and drink in a semi fine dining setting. Great place to catch up with your friends.
We were ushered to a table at the second floor of this restaurant.

View from second floor of the restaurant

Lumache Cotte del Burro RM29.90

Escargots baked in herbs, garlic and olive oil served with garlic bread. I like the herbs used in this dish. The fragrant taste pleasant. I can't stop slopping the bread with the herbs and olive oil on the plate :p

Spaghetti Con Moecche - RM29.90

Spaghetti cooked in tomato puree with deep fried soft shell crabs. I love this dish!! The pasta taste really good even without the crabs. Of course, the soft shell crab adds more oomph to this dish.

Quattro Stagion - RM29.90

Pizza topped with chicken ham, olives, antichoke and mozarella cheese. I dont find this pizza tempting. Still prefer the pizza at Dave's Pizza.

Tiramisu - RM17.90

The cake was rather small for its price tag. I ordered this dessert as it was most recommended in reviews. However, to my disappointment this cake falls flat as it claimed. The taste was rather bland but not too sweet which was the plus point.

Though the food here is a lil pricey but this is a good place to date your partner :)

Victoria Station @ Jalan Ampang

Our team organized a dinner at Victoria Station, Jalan Ampang. You can identify a big red "train" while driving along Jalan Ampang and that would be Victoria Station's trademark.

Prawn and Beef Combo Set -RM39.90

Deep fried tiger prawns, grilled beef (I opt for medium) with fries, coleslaw and corn in cob. The beef was "bleeding" when I sliced it with a knife and the prawns were bland and oily.

Salmon and Chicken Combo Set - RM39.90

My team mate mentioned that the fish is okay but the chicken was overcooked.

Can we go somewhere else for dinner?!

Yuzu @ Midvalley Gardens

My besties brought me to Yuzu for bday dinner :) This Japanese restaurant is located at 3rd floor of Midvalley Gardens.

They reserved a "private section" for dinner and the ambience was comfy and nice..

Tempura and Beef set

Look at the whole bento set!! Full of food!! The beef taste sooooo good!!!! This is the bestest (this word doesn't exist; just for explanation purpose) beef I ever had!

Sashimi and swordfish set
This is the first time I tasted swordfish and it was surprisingly good. The fish pieces were grilled with special soya sauce.

Unagi set

The unagi were soft and fresh. I dint have the chance to try the rice but it looks good. Unsure if itz garlic fried rice.

Yuzu Bento - RM48
I ordered this set for meself. This bento set consist of beef (really tasty grilled beef - so soft yet so tender and juicy yum~~), tempura, sashimi and nigiri sushi. Sashimi and nigiri sushi were fresh and I like the teapot of soup (most probably miso soup but taste better)
Cod Fish set
Dint manage to try the cod fish :( Btw, all these bento set comes with a bowl of rice, salad, fruits, tofu, pickled ginger, miso soup and peculiar fried salmon with lotsa bones.

Cod Fish & Vege steamboat - RM68

This pot is some sort like steamboat filled with cod fish pieces, veges, mushrooms, tofu, and fish cake. Thumbs up for the soup and cod fish!! The fish is fresh and the soup is delicious!! All of us drank it till the last drop Haha..

Yuzu ice cream

The restaurant captain gave me this complimentary dessert coz I'm the bday girl ;)

I was excited and drooling over this dessert. Scoop of vanilla ice cream in a coconut husk, drizzled with I-dunno-what-is-that-yellow-sauce (honey or brown sugar perhaps?), sugar flower bud, fruits and tiraimisu-alike cake. The presentation was creative!!

Though the menu is kinda pricey here (about RM50 for a bento set), I would definitely come here again for the good food and ambience.

Euro Deli @ Damansara Kim

Went to Euro Deli for my bday dinner :) This restaurant located at Damansara Kim is kinda small compared to the one at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. Nevertheless, we chosen this place for its famous pork.
Pork Cordon Bleu - RM28
Breaded pork escalope stuffed with ham and cheese, fries and corn with black beans. Look at the oozing cheese!! Great dish for cheese lovers but I felt the meat was overcooked.

Assorted sausage platter - RM40 (for 3 choices of sausage)
German sausages served in onion sauce with coleslaw and mashed potatoes as side dishes. I forgotten the exact name of those sausages I ordered; however, Farmer's Bratwurst taste the best! juicy juicy sausages... yum~

Roast pork knuckles - RM29

Big chunk of crispy roasted pork knuckles with mushroom sauce, mashed potato and coleslaw. This portion is really big!! No joking man!! The pork skin is crispy and the knucles were very meaty.

I need to go on vegetarian diet for a week..

Schokolart

Found this cool place while searching for dessert at Solaris Mont Kiara. This dessert shop is located at first floor of Solaris Mont Kiara, same floor as the famous Japanese Buffet - Tenji

The name sounds cool as well

Interior of the shop - nice and comfy. We opt for the seats outside to enjoy the wind and scenery - you could view KLCC from here.

Kiss - RM9.50 (Candle is excluded)

It was one of our girlfriend's birthday and she chose this cake - KISS. As the name suggested, you would notice the oh-so-kissable-red-lippy chocolate on top of this cake. So adorable! One dig into this white chocolate cake with strawberry bits and almonds chunks ; makes you melt. The cake is not too sweet, just nice ; the flour texture was soft and fresh. Hmmmm~~

Ebony and Ivory - RM9.50

White chocolate cake with coffee cream/praline. This is so yummylicious!! One bite of this cake makes you fall in love all over again ( Okay, I exaggerate but this cake taste really good!)

Latte - RM12

I did not try the latte buy my friend commented it was good. The birthday girl ordered a Flaming Chocolate - RM35. It is something like Flaming Lamborghini except that the drink is concoction of chocolate with some rum or vodka. One shot of this drink and she felt dizzy :p

Though the desserts are a lil pricey on the tag but on the other side, you get to enjoy great desserts (mostly chocolates!) and a nice ambience. Definitely worth it!

Jarrod & Rawlins

Been craving to eat at Jarrod & Rawlins since few months ago and am finally here at Sri Hartamas to try out the oh-so-famous pork.
I thought the restaurant branch at Sri Hartamas would be big but it was suprisingly small. Nevertheless this does not deter us from chomping down the food here.

Pork Burger - RM24
Pork patty burger served with fries, pickled cucumber, salad and onion relish. The pork was juicy and tender. However the burger itself is just plain burger bun with meat. I expected the burger to be 'fanciful' like the ones at Carl's Junior. Fries are in a huge portion though.
Chicken Wrap - RM18
A healthy alternative from the 'meaty' meals in the menu. Grilled chicken, hard boiled egg and mayo wrapped in tortilla, served with salad. The taste is rather bland but it is a good choice for you guys out there who are watching your waistline.

Dynamite and Chorizo sausages - about RM7+ for 100gm

I was curious that there isn't many choices of pork dishes in the menu. I turned around to see that there are endless variety of sausages, bacon and cheese on the glass display at the counter. We walked over and picked Dynamite and Chorizo sausages. You can select one of the side dishes with your meat eg : fries, mashed potato or coleslaw. Dynamite is super spicy and Chorizo (can't remember what exactly Chorizo is but was it cheese?) is just nice. My preference goes to Chorizo.

Food was okay overall but my suggestion is to have more choices in the menu.

Dave's Pizza @ 1 Utama

Yeah, told you I would blog about Dave's Pizza one day. Hehe..
Don't get mixed up between Dave's Pizza and Dave's Deli. Though both share almost the same name but food served at Dave's Pizza is much yummylicious~
Dave's Pizza is located opposite Burger King at 1 Utama.

Fettucine Olio with sausage and mushroom

Fettucine cooked with olive oil ; served with sausages and fresh mushroom. Once this dish arrived at our table, we finished it within minute!

Dave's signature honey ham and pineapple pizza - RM25
This pan crust pizza comes with mayo, honey cooked ham, chunks of pineapples and loads of cheese of course! yummy yummy~
Baby pork ribs - RM48 (Half)
5 pieces of baby pork ribs served with mashed potato, green veges, sweet potatoes and roasted potatoes. The ribs were succulent and juicy. Another thumbs up for this dish.

Crispy pork knuckle- RM50

Huge portion of pork knuckle served with coleslaw, veges and mashed potato. The pork skin is really crispy and the meat, tender and soft. You can eat it with the special sauce served.

It was really a satisfying lunch. Would definitely come here again!

MY Honeymoon Dessert

Dessert time again!! This time we try out the new dessert shop at 1 Utama 'new makan area'. This shop is located opposite New York New York Deli.

I like to take pics of restaurant signature napkins *muahahaha*

Interior of the dessert shop - quiet and comfy

Shop's signature frog or tadpole?
Watermelon Slurp - RM7
After browsing the menu for 10 minutes or more, we could not decide what to order!! There are endless choices of desserts in the menu so we got help from the waiter. In the end, we ordered watermelon slurp which is ice blended watermelon topped with sago which looked like frog's eggs :p Anyway, itz a refreshing concoction.

Sweet Ball with Sesame Cream - RM8

Sesame cream or 'chee ma wu' served with sweet ball aka tong yuen. The sweetness of this sesame cream is just right. I picked custard and peanut tong yuen. The peanut one taste okay but not the custard sweet ball which taste kinda weird. The sesame cream was filling - I felt 'zhai' after a few scoops and did not manage to finish the whole bowl.

Would come here again to try the mango dessert which claimed to be imported from Philippines.

LAMMEEYA @ 1 Utama

Didn't know the existence of this shop until my friend told me about it. This restaurant serves lam mee (or some people might call it loh mee) mostly.

Variety of other noodles available.

Milk tea (nai cha), kopi and toast with butter and kaya are served as well. The picture of the coffee drink looked 'kao'. Would try it sometime later.

Original Lam Mee - RM8.80

Thick mee in thick gravy soup served with prawns, fish paste and chicken slices. The soup was surprisingly good.

Mushroom Lam Mee - RM9.50
Thick mee in thick gravy soup served with chinese mushrooms, straw mushrooms, fish and chicken slices. The soup taste good too when eat it alone or added with vinegar.

Gyoza - RM7.80

5 pieces of pan fried meat dumplings. Unsure what meat it is but it taste like chicken. The dumplings are not juicy and somehow taste rather bland - not a recommended dish.

1 glass of green tea cost RM1 per person and is refillable. If you are a lam mee fan, you can try out this new restaurant located opposite Kluang Station at LG floor of 1 Utama.

New York New York Deli @ 1 Utama

I tried the food at this restaurant while I was at Singapore last time ; it has now reached our shores in 1 Utama, PJ!!
This restaurant serve authentic New York food aka western food

Lemonade - RM6.50

Though this drink is tagged as 'Diet Friendly' from the menu, my friend commented that it was too sweet and she have to add cold water in it.

Iced Mocha Vanilla Float - RM6.90

Coffee with chocolate drink topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream - I totally love this drink!! I would say this drink taste better than Starbucks iced caffe mocha. love it love it~~

Spaghetti Bolognaise with Meatballs - RM21.90

Spaghetti tossed in beef bolognaise served with giant beef meatballs. The meatballs were juicy and tantalizing. yum yum~ This pasta taste good.

Tagliatelle Alfredo with Fish - RM18.90

We swapped tagliatelle with spaghetti. This pasta dish is in creamy sauce served with hand battered fish. We prefer the fish to be grilled though. The sauce is really creamy - very filling.

The service was good and plain water were served FOC. The price is slightly lower than Chilli's and TGI Fridays. Would definitely come here again or to tapao iced mocha vanilla float LOL

Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa

We decided to have lunch at Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa after a tiring photography session at Batu Caves and Bukit Tinggi.

Got to know from kecikmiao that this nasi lemak is kinda famous. So let's try!

Asam Boi Juice (RM3.55) ; Lime Juice (RM3.95) ; Sirap Limau (RM3.55)

Asam boi juice was the signature drink and it taste refreshing, though a lil too sweet. Lime juice on the other hand was kinda sour.

Plain nasi lemak (RM2.65) ; Telur mata (RM1.50) ; Bergedel (RM2.50)
Plain nasi lemak is rice cooked in santan served with ikan bilis, kacang, cucumber, hard boiled egg and sambal. I do not like the sambal as it taste too sweet for my liking. The bergedel taste good but I could hardly find any meat in it.

Rendang ayam - RM4.95

This dish is quite a disappointment. The chicken is dry and the rendang sauce is not aromatic enough.

Goreng Pisang - RM5.95

Fried banana in balinese style, served with brown sugar and coconut. All of us gave thumbs up for this dessert! A sinful serving but the bananas taste good with brown sugar and coconut.
