Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa

We decided to have lunch at Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa after a tiring photography session at Batu Caves and Bukit Tinggi.

Got to know from kecikmiao that this nasi lemak is kinda famous. So let's try!

Asam Boi Juice (RM3.55) ; Lime Juice (RM3.95) ; Sirap Limau (RM3.55)

Asam boi juice was the signature drink and it taste refreshing, though a lil too sweet. Lime juice on the other hand was kinda sour.

Plain nasi lemak (RM2.65) ; Telur mata (RM1.50) ; Bergedel (RM2.50)
Plain nasi lemak is rice cooked in santan served with ikan bilis, kacang, cucumber, hard boiled egg and sambal. I do not like the sambal as it taste too sweet for my liking. The bergedel taste good but I could hardly find any meat in it.

Rendang ayam - RM4.95

This dish is quite a disappointment. The chicken is dry and the rendang sauce is not aromatic enough.

Goreng Pisang - RM5.95

Fried banana in balinese style, served with brown sugar and coconut. All of us gave thumbs up for this dessert! A sinful serving but the bananas taste good with brown sugar and coconut.

Shabu Shabu Buffet @ Bandar Puteri

I make an effort to organize a shabu shabu dinner with Fen coz I ffk her last week for this buffet dinner :p
This restaurant is located at Bandar Puteri Puchong - behind Giant hypermarket.Got to know from her that this restaurant shifted to a end corner lot on the same row. I expect a better dining environment but it appears to be same old thing.
We reached there at 8pm and it was crowded with people in queue waiting for their turns. Luckily I booked a table beforehand.

As the soup was originally clear - without much taste ; so I added salted vegetables and ABC contents into my soup. Good thing about this shabu shabu concept is that 1 person is allocated 1 pot of soup. Therefore it is more hygenic as we get to eat directly from our own pot without sharing.

Besides taking food items from the conveyor belt, they served pork slices (as above) and fried finger food such as fried sui kao, sausage, french fries, popiah roll and fried yam roll. I like the fried yam roll. Itz crispy and yam-my licious

Eating shabu shabu would not be complete without this special sauce prepared by the chef. Filled with fried onions and spring onions, it provides a zesty taste to your boiled food.

Raw food items on the conveyor belt ; lots of variety on the veges, meat and fishball.
Buffet price is RM26.50 (after tax) per person. Overall, the food served were fresh and the service was not too bad.

Taiwan Ice Monster @ Sunway Pyramid

Desserts shop that serves mostly mangoes caught my attention while strolling along the first floor, Sunway Pyramid. Mangoes, mangoes and more MANGOES!!! This small shop serves mango ice, mango ice cream, mango pudding and mango etc.. OK I need to stop babbling bout mangoes.

Da' cute ice monster lamp illuminating the eatery area

Desserts menu were posted on the walls too
Drooooooolll~ Look at the mouth watering mixed fruits ice (RM10)

Chunks of mangoes, strawberries and kiwi served on top of ice with a scoop of mango ice cream. The mango ice cream taste reallllllyyyyyyy good!! yummy yummy~~
This dessert make me miss the famous mango dessert shop at Hong Kong. Anyway I feel like going to Taiwan and try the real dessert there. Anyone interested? :p

Canton Bay @ Sunway Pyramid

My friend was craving for Hong Kong food so we headed to Canton Bay. Located at Ground Floor, Sunway Pyramid ; we thought this restaurant somehow has resemblance with Canton - i
Seafood kuey teow in thick gravy soup - This dish is somewhat like noodle cooked in Cantonese style. Doesn't look appealing but my fren commented that it was tasty.
Seafood Ie Fu Noodle - Crispy ie fu noodle (something like yee mee, I guess) in thick gravy soup with seafood.

Seafood fried rice (RM12.80) - Rice fried with squid and fish slices. No prawns at all! This fried rice taste rather bland and I need to eat it with chilli sambal.

Fried man tau served with sweetened condensed milk. The man tau was oily but it taste good when dipped with the milk.
When making payment, we were surprised that we are given 30% discount from the total bill amount. Then we found out that the discount is applicable for total bill of RM80 and above. Not sure when the promotion ends though. I prefer eating at Dragon-i. Enough said.

Winter Warmers Coffee & Tea House

I had a bad experience with Winter Warmers caffeine free English tea. Nevertheless, I thought I could give it a go by trying something else.

So I picked Iced Chocolate (RM8.90) - Chocolate drink served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Believe me, this drink is totally tasteless.

Iced Mocha Coffee (RM9.90) Among the 3 drinks, this by far is the best. I would not even describe it as best but the other 2 is either tasteless or taste weird. I would rather drink kopi from Starbucks or even Old Town Kopitiam!

Four Red Fruit Freeze (RM7.90) taste like cough syrup!! Okay maybe I exaggerate but it does taste weird - perhaps a cocktail. Anyhow I have a conclusion that all tea taste weird in this coffee house. Alright, not ALL coz I only tasted 4 different type of tea. By far the best tea would be the fruit tea. Might opt for that one next time :p

Tea set on display shelf such as teapot, teacup, saucer and jars of English tea are on sale.

Bruno @ Jaya 33

Bruno's Restaurant and Bar is located at Jaya 33, Petaling Jaya. As I stepped into this cosy restaurant, the ambience was comfy with a few occupants at their table drinking wine and having a good chat. However, when I flipped open the menu - the food is not cheap! About RM50 per main course.
View from inside the restaurant

We ordered 2 appetizers. First up is selection of cold cut ham - RM38. Few selections of raw ham served with olives and green veges tossed with mandarin sweet sauce and olive oil. Me, Izso and Mayee agreed that the ham taste like chinese sausage (lap cheong) and waxed duck. We felt kinda 'fan wai' after finishing the whole plate.

If not for this tomato soup - RM21, we wont be able to finish the ham as we need to "neutralize" the taste. This tomato based soup is filled with beans, tomatoes, pork loin and shrimps. Taste much better than minestrone soup - healthy and tasty

Grilled pork in peanut sauce with sauteed veges. The meat tastes really good! Izso gave a thumbs up for this dish. The meat was tender and juicy. Dont get me wrong - the peanut sauce used here are not those 'satay kuah'. This peanut sauce is a combination of peanuts and herbs which added a flavourable twist to this dish.

Grilled sea bass in cant-remember-name-of-the-sauce with mashed potato and sauteed carrot and peas. The fish taste fresh and it really goes well with the side dishes. Very tasty but I do hope that they could serve a bigger piece of fish next time :p

Last but not least is spaghetti with pork loins. I seriously have no idea which part is pork loin. This pasta taste somehow like the tomato soup we had earlier on but with lotsa pork loin chunks. Not bad but would suggest for improvement.

The bill came to a whopping RM260 for 3 of us!! An expensive dinner and Izso mentioned that we should have had dinner at Dave's Pizza instead. I totally agree!! Would blog on Dave's Pizza soon..

Garden @ 1 Utama

Fascinated by the exterior of this restaurant, we decided to try the set lunch. Do not be mistaken this restaurant for MidValley Gardens as it is named Garden, located at 1 Utama, PJ.

It feels as though you are stepping onto a garden adorned with lotsa flowers.

Pots of flowers surrounding the grand piano. The artificial flowers are actually on sale.

Soup of the day - watercress soup (which comes along with the main dish and a drink)

I selected turkey ham and cheese sandwich with iced coffee (RM15.90)
The sandwich taste good with slices of turkey ham and cheddar cheese.

My friend chose Spaghetti Aglio Olio Shrimp with ice lemon tea (RM17.90)
The pasta is not salty enough.
Look at the rose stirrer - so adorable!

Would definitely come here again for the food and ambience.

Tenji Japanese Buffet @ SohoKL

We did not managed to reserve a table at Tenji due to the ongoing buffet lunch promotion at RM49.90++ It was fully booked every weekend and even weekdays! So we tried our luck by walk in and we got a table! But that was after 45 mins of wait; well, it was nothing compared to the food we had later on.

We were seated outside whereby the waitress mentioned that area would be kinda warm but it was ok considering it was cloudy that day.

My first pick of the day is sashimi! yum~

Let's take a look at the rest of the food available here :

Italian food were served such as grilled squid, cheese baked mussel, grilled lamb and steamed sea bass. Other than this, pasta and pizza are served as well.
